It would be nice to at least try this game. But even by button mashing, my girl won't move an inch or jump. How do you play this game?

I liked the game a lot, I used to play Blobby Volley a lot years ago, and I think this title recreates the physics and feeling of the game very well, as well as expanding the concept a little more with the new options it delivers, I loved that! But I have 2 questions first: 1) Why can't I play with the mouse? being that originally Blobby Volley was allowed to be played with a musse and I must say that it was very comfortable to do so. 2) Why do girls play volleyball in a library? what were they thinking...
