Xbox and Steam achievements carry over?

If you bought the game on the microsoft store would your achievements and progress save when you get it again on Steam?

Yes. I recently swapped to steam since I bought gears on the weekend sale and my gamepass ran out. All my achievements were brought over.

Same here. Achievements do carry over between platforms.

yeah i switch between playing on my PC and on my xbox when im on the bed, i got some achievements on the xbox and they were on Steam as well

yes they do as soon as you do your first login to the game on steam

I own the game on Steam only, but GOG Galaxy 2.0 shows that I'm getting the achievements for both Steam and Xbox accounts. Since you're linking the game on Steam to your Xbox account anyway, I'm guessing the achievements are getting synchronised, too.

The linking of Steam to XBL account worked fine for me. I hear some can't even connect their account and can't even play the game at the moment.
