Where's My Potence?
So I'm playing Brujah for my first go through, and for some reason, I have yet to have any opportunity to show off my famous super strength. Every time I've had to involve myself in a physical situation, the discipline presented has always been Celerity up to this point.

Maybe it's because I'm trying to go against stereotypes and play a Brujah who's actually polite, respectful and handles situations in a sociable manner. But I've been involved in roughly 2 or 3 combat situations so far, and the game seems to think using super agility is the best way of handling the situation?

I haven't played it yet....and I'm massively out of touch with the current state of WoD (last time I "actually" played, outside of Bloodlines, was 15 years ago). That being said, in the source material, Potence was never really something you went out of your way to use. Celerity was a conscious effort and an expenditure of blood, while Potence was just you being far stronger than any mortal had a right to be.

It's possible the Brujah playthrough already has you being strong (a single dot of potence with merely average mortal strength wasn't terribly awe inspiring), and so doesn't require you to choose to use it....it's always on.

V5 changed many of the disciplines. The 3 physical ones of Potence, Celerity and Fortitude aren't just flat attribute boosts anymore. They now have specific powers associated with them.

That comic book style ground pound that Potence has in Bloodlines 2? Yeah, that's actually something you can do in the V5 pen and paper version now.

Want to move so fast that you effectively manage to teleport hundreds of feet away? Yup, that's something the new Celerity allows for.

Fortitude isn't limited to just physical defense now, either. You can use it to guard your mind against the mental / emotional powers wielded by other vampires.

Finished the game as Brujah and there are a couple times where you can use potence. You can also use dominate and auspex a few times which confuses me but I don't know much about V5, maybe everybody can do that now.

The disciplines seem a bit bugged because out of clan options appear but you can ignore those to stay canon. Potence certainly shows up as a Brujah but I suspect how often you see it depends on what quests you take and how confrontational you are.

Yes, i played Brujah and in my first playthrough used potence, presence, celerity, auspex and I think I was given the option to use dominate also (but didnt).
