Misplay
What does the game consider a misplay? I've been playing MTG for years, and when I see "misplay" I think mistake, yet everything I do is very calculated, and this game is no different. I have a 3/2 Wolf on the field and they have an adder, my hand is empty, they have no reinforcements. so I draw a squirrel and use it to chump block the adder, while the wolf rakes in damage.. yet playing like that gives me misplays. It gives me the win from start to finish, and I hardly call that a mistake.

Does the game want me to make certain moves? And if it does... When? Where? What are the circumstances for those moves and what determines misplays? it's bugging me because it's a statistic that's tracked that my mind sees as negative. (I do win a majority of the runs I start here)

i think its counting how many times you played the stoat? cause in the base version, every once in a while when yoou played him he would say "total misplay"

Not being sarcastic at all, i saw the statistic and then immediately wondered what the game referred to as a misplay. i can check if it's the stout being played

That's pretty funny. I was also wondering this. And i was like, huh, I guess there is an objectively correct move every turn???

I don't think this is what misplays mean in Kaycee's Mod because you can have misplays without ever having the Stoat much less playing him!

It's more or less random, intended as a troll/gag. Someone datamined the game to find out. You have a chance of getting a misplay each turn regardless of how/how well you play. Fewer turns will usually mean fewer misplays, but not necessarily so. Other than the 10 misplays achievement it doesn't affect anything.

This. Only the vanilla starter deck in Kaycee's Mod has the Stoat, but I've gotten misplays with other decks. I'm pretty sure plays are just randomly assigned as misplays.

the stoat thing was just a rumor, people who have looked into the files now say it's just a randomly generated number. a joke statistic with no meaning or merit. pretty lame :/

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
