Possible fix for those crashing on startup.
If you're crashing on startup like I was and unable to get past the first space bar. Disable anything that hooks into the game like overlays or fps monitoring software. Discord overlay was causing me to instantly crash out of the game when I used the mouse or keyboard. After I disabled it, no more issues since none of those other fixes worked.

Game is crashing my pc on startup
I am not running any mods, I preset graphics to low, upon clicking 'play' and tabbing into the game after the credits stop my entire pc crashes and restarts. Is this a new issue for many users?
New pc build rtx 5090 9800x3d. Putting everything on max shuts down pc for me and i habe to turn off Power on the psu switch to be able to restart.

Yeah definitely not our hardware being too slow because I've got an RTX 4090 and a Ryzen 9 7950X. I tweaked the settings before launching the game to the lowest and it still crashed for me.

I've been having this issue for a few months now. I thought it may have something to do with my processor that others have said has stability issues (intel 14th gen). Except this is the only game i have with this issue. Never did find a solution and still can't launch the game.

Did a test just in case by playing on maxed out settings on intergrated cpu graphics. Seems like the actual issue is nvidia drivers with newest window 11 Version cause hardcrashes.
I ran prime 95 at the same time as furmark to max out cpu and gpu and everything is fine. The Moment i touch super resolution in helldivers or cyberpunk which is basicly upscal to almost 8k . Pc shuts down. We habe to wait for better drivers and Windows Update.

Ohhhh it's driver version 572.70 from 10 days ago? That would explain it because it also shuts down my pc when I try to play CP 2077, any other game I play is perfectly fine though. Sucks you have to roll back NVIDIA drivers just to play though.

Hey any AMD gpu users who play the game and see this, do you guys have this issue as well?
im gonna test this cause i am using a overlay (AMD Adrenaline) to see what my frames looking like and wattage (testing a inverter) but its crashing all the time.

if its the overlay im gonna say ive seen some games do that to me thats just bad coding right there
lol k at first thought YES it works

Crashed... but at least i got lke an hour instead of 15 mins

At least its a start, you can also try to disable hardware acceleration in apps like discord, chrome and spotify. It just doesn't play nice with Cyberpunk.

Update: I installed the latest NVIDIA driver 572.83 and it still crashed my entire pc at the loading screen. Since dozens of people are complaining about crashes it's 100% the game itself.

I fixed my issue. My issue Was my psu being 2 lane. So it only gave Maximum 660watt to my gpu. Meanwhile 5090 has sometimes 1ms spikes far above 660w. Thats what causes pc shutdown at extreme demanding Szenarios. So i had to overclock my psu in order to allow gpu to Drain unlimited wattage. Basicly 1600w open access. No worries. Its just spikes. They dont affect heat. Its recommended to ockl 2lane psus for 4xxx and higher series
mmm those were off

the only thing on is maybe teams and firefox..(work/gaming PC)

ill give that a try later tonight im on the verge of formating this PC as well (been a while) just dont feel like resetting up all the work stuff.

Geeez what the hell OC a PSU???

isnt the cables on your card limited to x amount of watts in general? did you work around fix the issue? like really fix it?

Hey guys,

just a heads-up. Cyberpunk 2077 is pretty picky about RAM-settings, especially with Ryzen 7000 and 9000 series CPUs. Just loading the EXPO profile isn’t always enough. At the very least, you’ll want to make sure your Infinity Fabric settings are on point.

its quite simple. the overclock is simply made for 4000 and higher series gpus to prevent psu shutdown during wattage spikes. the cable itself can easily resist up to 700+ watt.
gpu wont go above 600 on max load. its for 2lane psus. 1lane pcu are already overclocked.
