The Big Race -- Game crashes at exactly the same point.

So I'm doing the final Beast In Me race and V and Claire are following Sampson down the ramp off the freeway. Just as we get to the bottom of the ramp, the game crashes _every time_. I've completed this race with the final encounter with Sampson several times in previous games...I started from a previous save...I even went back to a much previous save and completed several gigs and police scanner jobs...but the race crashes the game again at exactly the same point.

I've encountered this situation in other areas...I go to a specific point and the game crashes...but usually starting from a previous save or just taking a different route and not passing that particular spot will get me past it. Pretty much stuck with this one.

any suggestions? It won't kill me not to finish the last race, I guess but it's kinda weird.

Update: Did the race with RedMod turned off...got through the race without a hitch.

This seems very strange since none of the mods I'm using have anything to do with the cars or driving.

I know this thread is almost 2 years old, but the thing is... I ran into the exact same problem today while playing the current version with Phantom Liberty and all.

During the big race I followed Sampson, his car crashed in a rather silly way but as soon as the game told me I had to confront Sampson with Claire it always crashed on me the moment I got out of the car. Each and every time that exact moment: getting out of the car.

So I followed your suggestion and disabled RedMOD (so: disabled mods in the splash screen). And I got the same results: no more crash.

Kinda weird that this is still a thing today, but even so... the solution still works! Thanks for sharing!

just had the same problem in v 2.2.
disabling mods didn't help.
I was trying to finish the race ignoring sampson and the game would always crash at the left turn after the last ramp down.
Tried following Sampson on my last try and the game continued fine. With mods.

Three years later, v 2.2 - same glitch. Never had any mods and option has been disabled. Trying to finish the race without following Sampson was crashing the game at the same spot: the left turn off the last ramp. Ended up following Sampson and the game continued fine. Good luck out there folks!
