Is 8gb RX 570 doable?
I see under "recommended" specs in the store RX 590. I am a bit surprised cause I figure for game like this probably need a 30xx series card. Now that they are much more available I might be tempted to get one, but still don't really have any games where my rig isn't able to do very well with my old RX 570. Although caveat is that I still game at 1080p only. What do you think I could do with that and Cyberpunk? I would probably be turning off lots of annoying post-processing effects and other crap like AO anyway cuz I hate the visuals of those.

Probably land somewhere between minimum low and recommended medium.

But note that none of those use cases specify frame rate. E.g. you're not guaranteed 60 fps or higher at those settings and hardware configs. Just that the game will function.

what CPU do you have Rolypoly? I know a site that will give you exact results of what to expect but need to know what CPU you have

you'll be fine with a 570, just don't expect 60 fps on any preset.

although fsr 2.1 will come out soon so performance is only going to get better on your end i think.

Ok looks like medium detail settings at about 80fps average at 1080p

You have a great CPU and Ram but this game is very GPU heavy so upgrade that when ya can

You are shooting yourself in the foot by using this relatively old and weak GPU with high-end CPU. My advice would be to forget RX 570 and upgrade to RTX 3060 or better.

everyone is on a budget, its ussually back and forth Mobo/CPU/Ram and Then GPU, then Mobo/CPU/Ram, then GPU, I do the same thing, not everyone can afford to upgrade both at the same time, continuing to use some older parts from a previous system can help to save a bit of $$$ for a while

Upgrading only part of the rig doesn`t help with a game like this, RX 570 will drop the performance a lot.

I've been running it on an RX570 8GB.
Ryzen 5 3600
16GB 3200 ram
SATA SSD

Mix of Med & High settings, with a few things turned down or off (the usual suggestions for things to turn down for performance)
1080p
I get low 30's fps, runs fine.

(I refuse to pay $4-500 for a GPU. I've had three since 2011, roughly 4 years per card. None over $175 new. HD 6870, R9-270X, RX 570. Waiting to see what AMD announces, otherwise I'll likely have to go with a 6650XT for the next card.)

Used to have a 3600 + 580 8GB (Asus model STRIX)
It ran fine, not great frames but it was plenty enough to play.

I'm aware of that but the game is playable with lower settings until he gets something better

I had a i7 2600k and GTX 1070, I later moved to a Ryzen 7 2700x to put the 1070 on, now I have a RTX 3070 on my 2700x so I know what its like and what he will experience

I tried to play this on a ryzen 3700 with 32 gigs of ddr4 ram and a 3060 12 oc. and it still ran like flaming ♥♥♥♥ on 1080P. I couldn't even turn on the RTX fetures or my frames dipped into 25 fps ranges.

set your Preset to medium or High settings with RT On it will look much better then RT off with Ultra settings and should play about the same framerate

I run High Preset with RT on and able to average 60 on my 3070 at 1080p

This rig was actually supposed to have a 3080 in it, the old rx 570 is just leftover from the old build, but for obvious reasons that never happened. I was actually very surprised how far I can take it with just what I got. Maybe this game will convince me to get a 3080 now, prices look pretty reasonable again.
