Alright.
I'll bite.
Why? Give me a really good reason besides for our initial interaction with him when we took the drugs to control his own rage. I would really love to hear it.
He's a terrorist who actually used a nuclear bomb?
But aside from that, you people for some reason triggered too easy. Johnny is a cool guy when you get to know him. So many cool and funny interactions during side quests and gigs with him. By the end of the game it felt like he became a true friend to V, willing to sacrifice himself for her/him.
However, the fact Johny's nuke was only designed to blow up the tower versus the city doesn't matter, the label of terrorist is still accurate.
He is, and he isn't.
If he was a 'real terrorist', he would not have had Murphy broadcast on all channels an evacuation notice and gave it time to pass the word because he used that time to get access to Arasaka's subnet. Real terrorists revel in the death of their enemies, he didn't want anyone to die, as he even said so in the Soulkiller scene, he just wanted the building to disappear, with a tactical nuke.
Not really sure what history book you got that from, but he was anything but.
He voiced and demonstrated non-violence even when his own people would suffer for it, to show the world that change could come about, through peaceful means.

Not only that, but he did serve in the U.S. Military before going Rockerboy, so perhaps he picked up his demolition knowledge/expertise there.
Even with Takemura alive it`s the most depressing ending by far, apt reward for you to getting in bed with corp.
