Guess i'll wait till next year to try to play again.

At least this gives me a chance to restart without so many mods.

What kind of pisses me off is there's roughly 20+ patch/fix mods out there and it appears CDPR applied none of them. Why not just copy/paste the fixes from those mods and apply them, or at least use them as a base to start a fix from to ensure it doesn't cause other problems.

I just don't get it.

Its core mod-pocalypse. I hear there's a new lifepath mod that has been drop.
Good for a new game.

I dont get this obsession with NG+. The game lets you continue even after beating the story, you reach max level about halfway through the game, and there is no higher scaling.

People just want to do the first act at max level? Mod your game and do that.

Because an official NG+ with effort put into it would add new enemy types or elite versions, new scaling, new gear and skill levels, so it's a bit more content and challenge rather than just steamrolling the game with the best stuff. Look at Dying Light 2 for example, and the way it does NG+.

What makes you think we will receive new gear and new enemy types in potential Cyberpunk NG+? They will probably just scale everything up like in Witcher 3.
And here is another thing, if you think about it - new gear and new enemy types don't even need NG+, they can be added at any moment. The game will benefit from making enemies and weapons more distinct. Cause right now super duper borged up Maelstrom doesn't feel any different from other enemies. Shouldn't they all have very high armor? And maybe all of that metal should make them more vulnerable to combat hacks, no? Maybe that mechanic should work for player as well? Nah, screw that said CDRP - remove resistances from the game :lunar2020ratinablanket:
And the same goes to all gangs/corp forces/netrunners in the game.
I think people are so focused on NG+ that they ignore the problems of the core game.

Yeah, that's why I specified "with effort put into it."
And yes, the game is lacking in variety. I think the variety of weapons is pretty disappointing. You have a few types of guns and that's it. There's no special or exciting weapons, like rocket launchers, or interesting experimental prototype weapons or futuristic cool tech stuff other than boring aimbot or boring cover penetration. It's just typical archetypes like pistol, shotgun, smg, etc. Iconic weapons could have been an excuse to really add something new and interesting, but they're basically the same as normal weapons but with a little gimmick.

There is a rocket launcher.

CDPR obviously didnt want this game to be Borderlands. The guns feel great, the game doesnt need gimmicky weapons that people will test and then never use again.

would be dope but I think they said they were never going to add that. Model is messed up in third person anyhow. Unlike games like Borderlands which can be modded in third person and still work and look fine. Seeing the third person mod for this, is pretty terrible. Not that I blame the modders the Devs just didn't give them much to work with.
If modders can find a way to replicate the appearance mod. Which can spawn your V as a follower. Then being able to take control of that model may work. Since that version of V works and looks fine. If able to control or use that version instead of the transition from the default version. I think that would be the closest they could get for a good third person mod. Granted if even possible.

If they didn't want to be Borderlands then they shouldn't have had randomized tiered weapons like a looter shooter.

I love having to rebuild my entire mod list and having a single update take up as much space as most entire games do

Patches break mods. It's part of modding. If you can't handle it, don't mod.

It has tiered weapons like an RPG, something Borderlands also borrows from.

Sure, and maybe it could have borrowed from the actual source material and have rocket launchers.

Wait is there at least FSR3? I'll take fsr3

I'll even use the mod if that's still what's required. I should probably try to finish the game instead of being only 3 hours into PL on max difficulty

Edif: although I think I am soft locked or whatever the term is for my save not being able to progress forward, and loading the previous save makes me get locked as well with invincible enemies. I think that's why I stopped playing...I hope that's fixed
