Sweet. I will never fail to be anticipatory about anything coming to this game lol. While I enjoyed it on day one, they've never failed to add at least one or two things I found fun.

Can i put the game in fullscreen with no broke it? thanks CDproject, you are doing good but the game no works good in 2024 its a blasfemy, its playable yes... but not perfect optimized. i Want play the game with ray tracing with my 6950xt.

Quite surprising. They said they were done after the last big patch and that was almost a year ago. Only thing I could think they would be adding is a NG+, which I'd be happy about.

You're not playing the game with ray tracing on a pre-RDNA4 AMD GPU, at least not with a 60+ fps and native resolution without framegen. I have a 7900XT GPU and the game runs at 100+ fps on ultra settings in 1440p native resolution without any framegen, but the moment I turn on RT my framerate drops to roughly above 30fps.

Confirmed it's not NG+, sadly.

If you dont want to update and you own this game on Steam, just make sure to set it to update only when launched and then start the game via REDlauncher. Worked in the past if I remember correctly.

I hate that Steam doesnt give you the option to disable updates entirely for a game. I mean, that should be doable for single player games (like GOG). Shouldnt be Valves concern what people choose to do with their games, considering how expensive game licences have become.

Reminds me a bit of Bethesdas sh*tshow of an update for F04. Jesus Christ, just thinking about it makes me furious. All those beautiful mods......
And for what? Just to boost their stocks and the new TV show. And Im not even talking about them sticking their middlefinger right into the face of the Fallout London devs.

edit:
At least CDProject gives you free content and hotfixes every new update and doesnt raise new issues and bugs.
The TW3 next gen update was alright and ofc cant be compared to Bethesda with their sh**ty paywal and CC content.

It used to be this way, that you chose whether to update games or not, but for some reason Valve changed this and the only conclusions people can really come to is corpos wanted it that way.

There is a new beta branch for 2.13 for those who don't want to upgrade to 2.2. It'll be usable until end of January so it is time limited.

If you're going to add something to an old enough game, you better make it something good. More bells and whistles with no real gameplay impact? With ideas taken from popular mods on Nexus (car paint, Johny as passenger)? And outsourcing the patch to Virtuos - masters of broken PC releases for the past years. Doesn't look good to me. Not at all.
