The only difference between these corps in terms of how villanous they are, is how much power they hold right here and now, and how much they can get away with and influence as a result. Arasaka has the most pull at the moment the game takes place, so they can do a little more, but Kang Tao would do the same in their shoes, as would Militech.
Well not really true. There are good corpos if you mean the people working for the corps its just that the good ones never make it above peon and are butchered by the successful ones to climb higher up the ladder. You know just like real life.
more many people prefer to work with meredith corp over dum dum / royce maesltrom.
That said though, there is a heavy emphasis there on "closest thing this setting has to 'good guys'". Morgan Blackhand tries to keep collateral damage to a minimum and tries to keep as many people alive as possible while doing jobs...but he still takes jobs such as planting nuclear warheads within Arasaka Tower.
