Anyone else disappointed with the rain in this game?
the game has more important issues atm. but for a game set in a futuristic neon lit city. The dark and rainy nights can really make for an aesthetic and immersive world. The rain drops don't even hit the ground and splash a bit. its just a gradient of lines that looks ok in the distance but not up close. Missed opportunity for fans of blade runner and futuristic sci fi dystopia's

also acid rain was mentioned in an interview a while back but i have yet to see it

Well they marketed the game as "Cyberpunk by day", the rain soaked neon nights probably weren't a huge focus.

If the performance level is already this bad at the moment, imagine having all the droplet splash animations added that aren't on 2D level. Not even DLSS can save the 3090 at 1080p at that point.

There's a reason the devs decided to also degrade vehicle animations to mere 2D icons hovering on ground after a long enough visual distance is reached. Maybe given time the devs could find ways to enhance visuals further in an efficient way, but don't bet your money on it.

Yea it doesn’t look quite right. Puddles are good but wet roads have been done better.

I believe they removed the Deadly environmental stuff, because people complained.
Can't seem to find where it was stated when they removed it, but i swear i read/watched it stated.

Yes, needs rain effects!
I'm disappointed that the rain don't seem that exist within the game day period. More than once is just go away after I reloaded a save.

Even a sound overlay for pouring rain would have helped a lot. I don't play with ray tracing enabled but are people who do getting a cool 'the lights reflect off the wet street' effect?

Yes, rain is a major part of any cyberpunk universe.... this could be one of the greatest, but lacks rain....

Yes now that you mention it. It looks great from first person when inside a car though. But it does leave something to be desired when outside.

the whole RTX reflected lights is nice, but there's no rain falling on the puddles they're quite static.

hoping a future update will give us an overhaul of the rain effects but my optimism isnt super high right now. imagine the crysis 3/cryengine rain effects in cyberpunk.

Rain and water reflections on the ground look amazing, maybe up your potato graphics and you'll see it
I love the rain, actually. It's different than in other games, but has a stylistic look to it that I dig. It also appears and disappears depending on whether we're under a structure or not when we're outdoors. How slanted it is also varies based on our speed and it looks amazing on car windows etc.

That said, I do agree I wish we could see rain striking more surfaces while outside.

I love rain, the first part where you drive through the city, that is the kinda rain i wanted in my game, but clearly that was a one time deal.
