But yeah it's strange this is even an argument when they both fought the same person and one lost while the other won. Couldn't be more clear cut than that.
V has also been doing this for longer, David is a fresh-faced kid. Adam Smasher is dangerous because of more than being borged out, he has a lifetime of experience under his belt.
Too true. His experience makes him deadly. Not only having the chrome, but how to maximise the application.
My two bits?
Heh heh... I said them some pages back. Will spare y'all from them. I tend to consider it more abstract though.
But Summary for me is that David would win. As was said on previous page, V has power of reloading. And of course which V and what condition. A major part of his loss was his system collapse too. What if David was in top form like shortly after he put on the full body conversion?
Is a great discussion though in consideration of how gameplay translates to game universe or cinema dramatization of anime. Then considering how both would then be brought to a common middle ground world.
My current V would simply wipe David out without receiving a scratch, but that is because this V is a combat netrunner build. It would really be old west style duel at high noon. V getting quickhacks off vs getting head taken off.
What do you say to those of us who don't actually need to reload?
I would say that anybody who could play through very hard first time no deaths without any prior information on the game is an extremely rare case. How many people potentially did? Could count on one hand I bet.
In previous posts on the discussion, I referred to it as the power of pre-cog.
That last sentence is a reach.
Oh, I get it... boy, do I get it (well.. I think I do): I haven't watched a series anymore ever since the "Rise and fall" of the iconic ThunderCats... and no one cared. 500 people cheering for the "revival" and no boos at all for the crap we got?
And don't get me started on cliffhangers and what other crap.
But this one... is way different.
Adam Smasher smashed David.
Guess who smashed Adam Smasher? It's V.
Yes.
2011.
I know you mean that last one as a joke, but. Yeah, pretty much just that. It was on Cartoon Network, and I do remember seeing an ep of it, but was apparently given a really bad timeslot (which would explain why I can't remember seeing more than one ep) and due to "lack of interest" was canned.
Kerenzikov builds with all boosting cyberware are only 5% slower than peak sandi. So, Kerens are almost as fast and have netrunning/berserker.
IF Netrunning: because V can breach a psycho or even Smasher, David will fare no better. Just take his eyes and splatter him with a shotgun as soon as he stops. Or “suicide” him. A glance is enough for a netrunner.
IF Berserker: berserkers are hecking invincible. The moment David slips he will be broken in half by a very pissed of V, or simply beaten to death with his own legs after a quake. Or have his skull smushed by the hydraulic press channel. Good luck keeping your foothold, David.
Sandi Vs Sandi?
In a sandi duel, never bring a gun to a sword fight. David will be shishkebabbed faster that he can press the trigger. Byakko comes to mind, especially if V had some goons to add to the victim list. Or mantis bladed to become the future president of the past club.
Let’s face it: David, even as a cyberpunk protagonist, always was a super gonk. He just had a gimmick, but never managed to master it.
V in general outgrows their stupidity quite fast after the heist: in the Cyberpunk world, V is the only one who could spend some points in wisdom.
