I just found the "ultimate" mod for my first replay!
Hi gang!

I can honestly almost cry right now (yah, I had a few drinks) because I just found new motivations to replay the game and it feels so good!

Now, before I continue.... In case any random new players out there come across my post: I strongly suggest to start your first full run of this game without mods. NONE of them, nothing. Yah, yah, this game has issues. But the problem is: where do you stop modding? I mean... "I just improved FPS, might as well improve Judy (who is Judy? Nah, sounds cool!)" and then you may suddenly enter a slippery slope. Each to their own, I'm not trying to tell you guys how to play your game, but I am saying that I had A TON of fun during my first run, and I didn't even have the RedMOD DLC installed!

We now return to our regular program! :foxhimezero_mori2:

Backstory
(you can skip this section to my next header if you only want to learn about the mod!)

I finished this game, with the Arasaka ending, and honestly? I loved every second of it, it was such an amazing and also emotional experience, I was really moved. And generally speaking players consider this the BAD ending!

Fortunately for me I still had several Cyberpsycho encounters left together with plenty of unfinished NCPD encounters so after finishing the game I had a ton of fun with experiencing my immensive new powers.

Then I started a new game, I even started using mods. And yes: including those mods to remove the underwear if you look down :hannahmischief: but my main focus was towards the Edgerunner bazaar mod[www.nexusmods.com]: this allowed me to add eddies, perks and attribute points as I deemed fit. So I did...

Unfortunately for me though Cyberpunk runs way deeper than this. Attribute points unlock available perks, perk points then allow you to apply those perks but in the end... it's your skill level that makes the actual difference.

And the only way to gain those points is by playing the game again. Or so I thought ;)

See, I was hoping to re-use my "end game V" who is both a badass and kinda sexy netrunner alike, and use her in my new "other background story" type of game.

It didn't work, I still had fun in my modded game but at the same time... I'm not ready yet to re-do it all over again.

And then I discovered "the mod"

I tested this y'all, this works:

The mod is called Respector[www.nexusmods.com] and it's available on the Nexus mods website (<= see link). The thing is: this mod allows you to transfer your character, in any way you like, from one game into another. Not your looks!

You can transfer:
  • Character => everything but looks: perks, attributes AND skills.
  • Equipped gear (weapons + clothes).
  • Equipped cyberware (!!).
  • Backpack items (you can filter these!).
  • Crafting components and recipes.
  • And your owned vehicles.
Now, looks are also important of course; I spend a lot of time on my V and yeah: I wanted this to be part of it as well.

If you also want to copy the looks of your V you need the Appearance change unlocker[www.nexusmods.com]. Just load up your old save, go find a mirror and then save your character.

Fire up a new game and lo and behold: you can then load your saved preset.

My former streetkid V is now a nomad. Better yet: she's even beyond what you'd describe as badass... she's almost an NC goddess at this point. And I am loving every moment of it.

But Shell... WHY?!!!

Because. You know what I loved most about Skryim? It allowed you to truly experience your build up in character, no mods! During your first run between Helgen and Riverwood you may come across wildlife that's making your life a living hell. Fast forward into many hours of this game and.... if you choose NOT to rely on fast travel and go through that area again you may notice that the wildlife that may have almost killed you before can now be slain in one stroke.

I wanted to experience that same thing in Cyberpunk.

You see... as a streetkid V "returned" to night city but you're still a bit of a nobody. While I love the streetkid background myself it's also the least believable IMO, it never really made sense to me. V never leveled up "over there" but now they're skyrocketing?

So now... with the help of 'Respector' I can actually go here... my endgame V, the character I really took a liking to, is now going to do it all over again. With all of her gained capabilities!

Oh right... My V has legendary monowire, a legendary/iconic cyberdeck (with epic quickhacks like cyberpsychosis (FTW!!)), epic fortified ankles, legendary reflex tuner + synaptic accellerator and my favorite: legendary optical camo! (Motoko 2.O :militech:)

And the best part? I still have common cyberware too! Like "shock n awe" which is kinda useless but I never noticed until now ;)

SO yah... I figured I'd share, here's hoping this can help some of you V's out there too!

Sorry for a long read but... whenever I said that this game can mess with you, that its storyline can get to you and: that I believe that this game has one of the BEST overall storylines in gaming so far? I'm not lying. And it gets to me too, resulting in posts like these.

This game is special. There's a reason why it went into my "all time favorites" showcase on my Steam profile within 2 weeks. And I know that this probably means nothing to you random reader, and fair enough! But then do realize: it also triggered efforts like this post.

Thanks for reading! Hope this could give some of you some good ideas! (please don't try this if you're new? Trust me: there is SO much fun to be found in vanilla too! The only reason I turned to mods... is because all missions are static).

NOW, if you'll excuse me. I have an actual annihilation to look forward to ;)
