Is it worth $30?

Fun is subjective. For me pure Netrunning is incredibly boring and turns the game into Fallout.

For me the best alternate gameplay is stealth with throwing knives, Pistols with silencers and some Netrunning, which is very satisfying.

Why don't you ask this a month or so AFTER release ? So people have had a chance to play it and give their opinions on their experience.

Asking now seems kinda premature in my opinion.

Netrunning and smart or silenced weapons is pretty fun.

The gunplay at launch was meh. They've since added more weapons and attachments. In another month, the overhaul will introduce more unique properties for different weapons so they are even less similar.

Same goes for netrunning, and perks will be less passive and they're introducing more interactive mechanics (for example, less +3% to pistol damage, and more "Able to use katana on bikes" type stuff.

my steam account only has a few hours on it, but I have hundreds on the game and bought it twice despite being DRM free. Ask me anything

in the update, you will may earn a perk that blocks them. I don't know if an interaction like a weapon swing deflects or slices them though.

With the right netrunner build you could hack a camera in a building and kill everyone in it by spreading 1 hack to everyone in a massive DoT AOE. It was actually kinda dumb how strong it was when you got the build online and working fully. The thing is IDK if it will work after the 2.0 update, just quickly going over the new trees you lose being able to crit with quickhacks since I don't see the Critical Error perk. But they get a load of new stuff so it probably offsets it. Will have to wait and see.

Ah, but it's not only a DLC this time. You also have to think about update 2. That in itself is like another free DLC.
I have watched the vids and the changes sound to good to be true. Near everything that has been requested by us is going live.
Not to mention I loved the game at launch.

I think y'all been played. I've a feeling OP was asking about the game itself, not PL. It was $30 between the 14th and the 21st of August.

This gives the impression that they hadn't even played the game by that point. If they were asking about PL... what a weird way to phrase this ._. The DLC isn't a new game.

nope, almost be default because you know they are making a huge profit on it, they could sell it for less then 10 and still make a profit, just wait for future deals, so yeah, it cant be worth it, they are always overcharging you.
