You must contact the mod developers and ask them to upgrade the mods your using to most current version build of the game.
Any old save has probably become corrupted. It is recommended to only make new saves after patch.
Its ok now, they have come back after another reboot; it seems to be buggy and slow when loading them though, and i've not used mods either.
BE AWARE, you may run into other problems down the road if you keep using them. Older saves tend to be buggy with new patches come out....so do not be suprised if you run into other problems.
I will say this again, get rid of old saves and start a new game. You will run into less bugs and issues if you do this.
Yep. Even if you didn't used mods, your olds saves have the probability to break, mine worked so far and only crashed once in 2-3 hours, guess I'm lucky
Sucks that i have to start again.
Yes, but that is one of the methods of using mods. This happens quite a bit also in other games i play/ I always end up deleting the old save and updating the mods.
Saves in games like this tend to get corrupted whenever the code is changed or fixed, so it is always best to start over a game..i lost many legacy families in the sims 4 like this, but the good thing is i can always design a new family.
- Mods depend, and may break a save. I've never had an issue going between the vanilla and modded game with my save. That however, will depend on what mods that you use. I'm pretty light with my modding.
- Always keep a backup save on your desktop in-case something happens.
- Always bring your backup save up to date by pasting it into your game, loading the save, and then manually saving over it.
- Do Not depend on cloud to keep track of your autosaves, it will often override autosaves. Manual saves are safe.
