and of course ray tracing but that doesn't apply to your setup.
While those settings do have a large impact, that isn't strictly speaking true. The number of pixel calculations as determined by resolution has an enormous impact on frame buffer utilization. Dropping from 1080p to 720p as they did has a theoretical reduction of frame buffer utilization of 1.5 times or more, all things being equal (of course in reality this depends on many other factors and isn't that simple - and the fact that their fps increased by 5x suggests they had a bottleneck somewhere else... probably in their software environment, which could mean the game or something else going on with their system ...since nothing about their hardware suggests a bottleneck that large, and lowering resolution doesn't do much to ameliorate CPU bottlenecks.)
Generally speaking, resolution is one of the largest user-controllable impacts on performance. And note that they said they were already playing on low settings. Given their specs I would actually recommend, now that they're getting improved performance at reduced resolutions, playing on Medium (since their RAM is below recommended) or even a mixture of Medium and High presets since they exceed the recommended specs for that. Especially if they're comfortable playing at such a low resolution.
Just head for display, open advanced settings, see if the resolution matches active signal resolution.
CP77 doesn't really look at the ingame resolution. Not as much as the ASR. I mean it's worth a shot, right? Worst case scenario you put it back.
EDIT: Assuming you want to compromise a bit of resolution for FPS.
Point is, the resolution didn't drop if lowered ingame, it stays at what windows resolution was set. My monitor confirms. Since this is a bit screwed up, it should be the peak of the iceberg...
I mean i don't expect people with the monster machines to lower their resolutions. Some other people might want to do that and i think fixing this might help everyone.
It's like a bug at point blank or something.
IF your resolution in game does not change when you change it in the option settings for Cyberpunk and remains the same resolution as setup under windows display settings then something is definitely wrong with your game setup or your windows setup.
I can change my resolution in game up or down and the game will display in whatever resolution i select regardless of what I have it set at under windows.
