Not defending 2077 here. I think it's a disjointed mess with ♥♥♥♥♥♥ AI and a detestable wimp of a main character, but this is surely just another troll cesspool waiting to happen.
The outrage is that its not what we were told it's going to be(ground breaking, living world, your choices matter, or even an RPG at all) and it's not what it "could" have been. The shortcuts taken are painfully obvious and disappointment often turns to rage depending on the audience.
Cyberpunk 2077 is completely new (not taking the board games into account) so the only thing to go on was what they advertised and promoted.
The game we got in Cyberpunk is not what they advertised and promoted.
In short.
With Fallout 4 we knew what we would get and it's pretty safe to say fans of the previous games would be happy if they followed the same formula.
With Cyberpunk they showed us what we thought we would get and they blew it.
CD/P/R in spite of eventually fixing the Witcher 3 and making it great, will have to do a hell of a lot for years to rise above the abysmal launch that was CyberPunk.
- choices matter in FO4. This was a promised feature in CP77 but it's not the case, while in FO4 it really makes a difference (different factions even, another thing CP77 lacks)
- FO4 has the better and much more intelligent cyberpunk themes. The Synth Question, need I say more?
- FO4 features an immersive world while CP77 doesn't despite the promise. Just compare NPC behavior in both games.
- CP77 promised us "it's all about the style" but there isn't even a barber lmao. In FO4 there is a barber.
Oh cool. Can I have a haircut?
"Welcome to Night City, where no, you can't get a haircut. ♥♥♥♥ off, kid."
Doesn't change the fact that you fell right into it. lol
So sorry.
I don't spend most of my time scoping out forums.
