Modern games store saves outside of game installation directory. That includes cyberpunk. The files are on drive C by default (%USERPROFILE%/Saved Games/CD Projekt Red/Cyberpunk 2077

This game uses cloud saves, like most other modern Steam games. But you can go to C:\Users\YOURNAME\Saved Games\CD Projekt Red\Cyberpunk 2077 to create a backup.

for GTA you need to login to social club and activate cloud save.

Don't - For the love of god. Several people have complained that Steam overwrites savegames with... nothing.
