There are some extra goodies digitally on GOG, but they are regardless of preorder or later purchase. There really are no preorder bonuses anywhere other than a store credit at Best Buy, the Best Buy steelbooks if you're into that, and the Gamestop Samurai Medallion.
Everything else that is unique (e.g. physical exclusive items you don't receive digitally, or the extra digital content you get on GOG) is included whether you preorder or buy the game months from now. They're just included with purchase.
And nothing in-game at all.
People should simply be able to buy the complete game at any point. Giving someone a bonus for finding a game before release, or say having a system that can run it before launch, is just unfair to those coming along later. Plus it is a major disinsentive to people to buy after launch.
Of course, then you get the idiots who think that because a game's in EA, it should be sold for a big discount. They don't get that they're still basically just pre-ordering. They're buying the finished product, not the game in its current state.
there should just be a pinned post at the top saying "NO PREORDER BONUSES"
