Will an RTX 2070 Super be enough to play Cyberpunk 2077 With Ray tracing at 1440p? I want to play at ultra settings with medium ray tracing at 1440p. It says the recommended specs for 1080p ultra settings with medium settings is an RTX 2060.

My biggest concern is that even with 1440p and ultra settings with medium ray tracing, it won't look as good as 1440p ultra settings with ultra ray tracing.

I've been playing at 1440p RT Ultra with an RTX 2070. It's been fine so far, but I haven't got too far and I don't monitor FPS. As long as it is playable, I am good.
I have a RTX 2070 Super and I run on max graphics settings, 100 fps, 1440p, no issues.

I have a 2070 Super and I can get 58 to 74 FPS with RT all on, custom settings based on high, DLSS Balanced and NVidia Injected sharpening, 1080p.

DLSS Quality is too much of a frame drop, causing it to dip below 60 too often. And I can hardly tell the difference because of the injected sharpening.

The average is more like 62 FPS.

I prefer the look with sharpening.

lol, I hear RTX3080 and 3090 players are having a hard time making this game stay 60fps 1440p. Better wait for a good patch/optimization at this point.

I followed the advice from a post made by someone with the username Gutter and I got a quite a large boost to my fps and it fixed the stuttering. After the fix I play on high-ultra on all settings except for shadows which I set to medium, I also turned raytracing for shadows off but kept reflections. I mostly get 55-80 fps depending on the area, lighting and number of enemies/other npc's but it's very playable, most of the time i'm at a stable 60-75'ish.

I've only got an 2060 by the way.

It is obviously sad that customers needed to edit their files to get a proper fps. but here comes the post that fixed it for me:

"Make a backup of, and open the file below with a text editor

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Cyberpunk 2077\engine\config\memory_pool_budgets.csv

Replace the value for PoolCPU (under PC) with 1/2 your RAM -4gb for windows
Replace the value for PoolGPU with what your GPU has.

save, and exit

Durango/Orbis is Xbox/PS, so this was essentially throttling down performance to console levels. There's also people on the thread I linked saying that "0" works for them as it dynamically changes so you're welcome to try that.

I went from 25-35 FPS on max settings to a smooth 60+fps with a 9900k/2080ti, and 64gb of ram @2560x1080 (fov @110)"

RTX 2070, Ryzen 7, ssd, 16 gb. Runs like charm on ultra in 1440p. You won't notice big difference in rt medium or ultra.
I'm running a 2070super with a ryzen 7 and I'm running pretty great on with RT on and most settings on max or high. Only experience a little stuttering in specific areas.

i have a 2080 Super and I cant even use Ray Tracing. The game straight up crashes within about 20 seconds once i turn on RT.

It plays great when its off though.
wat. I have an RTX 2070 SUPER, and I'm running this game great at 1440p. I did overclocked my GPU though via MSI afterburner.

I have it set with RTX ON ULTRA as well with DLSS quality. Make sure to adjust your SSR, volumetric fog/resoltuion, Crowd Density, AND set your framerates to around 50-55. I did mine at 55, but it does drop to 50 framerates when it's a busy area like Watson.
ryzen 7 3700x / 16gb ram / rtx 2070 super / ssd install / 1440p 60 fps.
i turned volumetric fog/resolution and raytracing to medium the rest is on ultra.
the game should run great with those settings but i didnt check the game after the last update it might be even better now. I recommend to turn ray tracing to medium if you want stable 60 fps.

Not at 60+fps, no. You need a 3080 for 1440p, ultra and ray tracing. source; me, 3080 user

edit: various lowered settings might be doable, but ya, not ultra

2070 Super/3800X here.
My responses get often ignored, seems like there's less people with performance problems and more with bug problems.
I can't even get 60 fps at 1080p (even at lowest settings), so It's unlikely you'll get better performance unless you have an intel CPU or you're one of the lucky people who doesn't have any issues.

is there something wrong with playing at 50-55 stable FPS with nearly ultra settings with RTX on high at 1440p? I've been doing fine with that at 1440p while using DLSS.
3070 here, forget about ray tracing.

Performance is garbage
Guess I can answer your question, 2070s paried with 9700k, got 34 fps under 4k medium
Now that the game is out and I've been testing it, as a 2070 non-Super owner, I feel I can safely say that you won't get good performance at 1440p with ray tracing. That said, I get consistently over 30 fps in heavy areas and over 50 everywhere else with RT on Medium and DLSS set to Auto. Without RT, the game is still gorgeous imo, and I get over 70 fps in most places now with the right settings at 1080p. And 40-60 at 1440p.
