It will run on any kind of decent machine with a decent gpu if you don't expect miracles.
That's the message I'm trying to get across to people.
A lot of stress and anxiety out there about this game.
Good list for minimum sys requirements though, appreciate the work you put into it.
That's kind of what I'm saying, though. The 1080 ti is not a good gauge of what you'll need to enjoy the game. And people hearing that will become upset if they maybe have a 1050 ti, or an RX 570. Or an older 970.
Using the 1080 ti as a gauge is like using a formula one race car to time yourself on a drive to the grocery store.
The 1080 alone, agreed, there are other factors that come into play and it's hard to say what Recommended specs will be specifically since none of us, as far as I know, work at CD Project Red. The idea is to give ones self some leeway to keep your machine running through whatever updates and games get pushed out as the years move forward. I can see the 1080 getting closer to the 1060 in costs in the next 1-2 years, unless it's already here and in that case, all the better for the consumer :)
Edit: Wow, even Newegg, in my opinion one of the more expensive online retailers has a Gigabyte 1080 for $469.

Not really my ideal price range, but it's getting there.
That's the thing. Not everyone can afford updates. That's why I want to help alleviate some of the stress.
I just spent $300 on a GTX 1660 ti, and it was already stretching my budget further than I should have let it. Money is tight these days for a lot of people.
I still might buy some more RAM before the game releases, though.
It never stops man, just keeping up with the hardware changes can be exhausting at times. Nice find on the graphics card! By the time the game comes out, I'm curious to see what hardware costs will be like, just to seal the deal.
We need to use the specs for this year's demo which means the irrefutable minimum requirement is an 8700k, Titan RTX, and 32 GB Ram. /s
Seriously though I hope people aren't stressing over this, it will run on most modern systems and 10 months is a long time for new hardware to come out and good hardware to become cheaper, I'll probably pick some stuff up on black friday and leave it at that.
A lot of people are worried they are going to spend hundreds of dollars in upgrades, when their computers are more than adequate.
That's all I'm trying to help people with.
Already said this, but I'm glad you put the effort into detailing the predicted specs for minimum system requirements. I'll admit that it would take me forever to come to some conclusion about what might run at minimum settings. Taking all of this with a grain of salt will absolutely help once the game's official specs get released. I'm drunk right now, so I hope this made sense.
You're good, brother.
The official system requirements probably won't be released until early next year.
