Cyberpunk 2077 - My Predicted System Requirements
Typically, a gaming company inflates its system requirements for a game before release. This has been the case in a lot of titles in the past that ran just fine on older hardware. However, Cyberpunk 2077 is gearing up to be an IMPRESSIVE title. A massive open world filled with people, vehicles, buildings, various little bits of detritus and debris that all has real physics and geometry, incredible lighting systems in an entire city.

Cyberpunk 2077 is definitely going to be extremely demanding. However, because it's using an updated and modified RED Engine, similar to the engine used in Witcher 3, I believe that it will be very well optimized and run on a bevy of hardware.

Now, there have been some very bad rumors going around saying you'll need an i7 and a 1080 ti to run the game. You should not believe these rumors, they were taken from the specs used to run the game at E3 last year for the demo. Cyberpunk 2077's official system requirements have not been released to the public, yet.

My predicted MINIMUM System Requirements

You will definitely need a 64 Bit Copy of Windows 10 to support Direct X 12. As we do not yet know what API's Cyberpunk 2077 will support, however it will have Ray Tracing, which requires DX12. (Though is only optional. The game may still support DX11.)

CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K OR AMD FX-8320
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770/960 OR AMD R9 380x (4GB versions)/5500 XT
VRAM: 4GB
RAM: 8 GB RAM
Storage: 70 - 80 GB Hard drive space

These system requirements should allow you to play the game at 1080p with at least 30 - 60 fps on all low settings.

My Predicted RECOMMENDED System Requirements

If you want to play on ultra settings at 1080p and maintain a constant 60 fps, you will need some serious horse power, I think. (But still not an i7 9900k and a 1080 ti.)

CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K OR AMD Ryzen R5 1600
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660ti/1070 OR AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT**
VRAM: 6GB
RAM: 16 GB RAM
Storage: 70 - 90 GB Hard drive space

**UPDATE: I have included the new RX 5xxx series GPUs as the recommended system requirements after watching benchmarks on them. At the time of this writing, only the 5700 XT existed. I firmly believe the 5600 and even the 5500 would be capable of playing Cyberpunk 2077 at 1080p very easily.

Of course if you have anything in between these specs you will be fine in running the game. Maybe if you had a 1060, or a 480, or a 580, or something similar. You should not worry about running the game at 1080p.

Now, 1440p and 4k, those are completely different stories. I would not be surprised if a 1080 ti was required for 1440p 60fps on ultra settings. And an RX 2070 with Ray Tracing enabled.

Please share this thread with people who are concerned with their systems and running this game. You still have ten months to upgrade and build a new PC. I am confident that CD Projekt RED will deliver a well optimized, enjoyable experience.

These predicted system requirements come from years of PC Gaming, building PCs for myself, and other people, and playing and testing games on a vast number of systems and configurations.

Will I be able to run Cyberpunk 2077 on my PC?
Hello everybody,I have one question.I know official system requirements for Cyberpunk are unknown, but I would like to hear your personal opinion about my PC.Here is my PC specs:Windows 10 x64
LG 27UD58-B
MSI Z97 PC Mate
Intel i5 4670K
16 GB RAM
MSI GTX 1080 Gaming + 8GB
Coolermaster G550M

Will I be able to run it on let's say,High settings,60FPS on 1090p,or High-medium settings(shadows on ''low''),60FPS on 1440p?
I said this settings because I can run The Witcher 3 on max settings,60FPS 1440p.

Tell me your opinion.

Opinions are just opinions, why bother? Their opinion is as valid as yours.

I like to hear different opinions.I haven't play many CDPR's games,in fact,I only played The Witcher a bit,so I wanted to know how good their games run on PC,and what can I expect.

what you guys think, will it be runable or must i upgrade my card?

If the game is playable on regular PS4s and Xbones the 1060 is going to be overkill for this game at 1080p 60fps.

Got a buddy on a 1060 playing BL3 with tweaked settings playing that hog of a game at 60 fps at 1440p and all he really did was turn off volumetric lighting since hes not a fan of fog. All other settings are ultra to medium. Just to give you an idea of how with a little tweaking you can play games at good frames if you're card isn't total crap.

I can't wait to see how my RTX 2080 runs this game.

No one knows for sure but I'd say wait for the release of RTX 3060, they will be 7nm and now that AMD is finally back into competition we might expect some good generational performance gains, this way you can enjoy some of the ray tracing features too.

I think the GTX 1060 will be able to run the game at least on lowered settings. You definitely shouldn't buy a new computer NOW for a game which comes out in 7 months. At the very least, wait until the game comes out to upgrade UNLESS your computer actually stops working and you need to replace it anyway.

If you want sleep well, I just would change CPU for 6 or 8 cores... I don't remember if can you put such on your Mobo...? Some i7...

Rest is in mine opinion good.

It will run, how well nobody knows. If I was to guess I'd say 1080p med/low with and avarage of 60ish FPS.

Pretty much this. :)

Cyberpunk 2077 is still being polished/optimized at this point of time and while you should be able to run it, you'll get an official estimate regarding the hardware requirements when the game gets closer to the release date.

Remember, they're making this game playable on current gen consoles, and the graphical downgrade was revealed quite recently. You should be able to run it.
