Does this include the music?

As pretty as raytraced quake 2 is going to be if i cant have the original music it would really take the atmosphere out of the game. This needs to support digital music in a .PAK format or this is all for naught. Does anyone know if this is going to support music?

You are meant to already own Quake 2 to access other assets like music and maps outside the basic 3 map shareware like demo.

I understand correctly that there are only a few levels for free and to play completely you need to buy the original Q2 separately on Steam? I don't have it. Therefore, the question is that there is also no soundtrack? Music? If I buy the original Q2 and then in the end RTX levels of music will not, and then will it? Or in the whole game it will not be? Something I'm confused.

It's just and addon. Since original shareware version of the game was including 3 levels(for free), this "addon" is the same. If you have a full version of the game, you can just install this over it.

This is based on Q2VKPT, that did not support mp3/wav/ogg/flac soundtracks at all. I doubt that nVidia spent time implementing it... :(

So, there's no music at all, even in the menu (no CD tracks).
Just get your favorite player and play the soundtrack in the background.
It's not like Q2 had any adaptative music anyway…

looks like no music at all, i even had a quake 2 cd ready to use the original cd audio but they have even removed the option for cd audio :(

not even the full steam version gives you any music

GoG gives the music as .ogg I think. There is a mod to make the music run but no mods for rtx yet.
