anyone get Action Quake 2 running yet?

Looks like the AQ2 code will need to be ported over. The base gamex86 has a decent amount of changes which breaks compilation. It's definitely do-able but will take time.

The maps work, but most are designed for the original lighting system. Point lights are removed, so it breaks lighting in most maps. I've been experimenting with ways to get maps to play nicely with some BSP edits and an engine light modification, so far results are positive.

its easy to play. just copy the action folder to the quake2 rtx steam folder and play :D

id play with opengl renderer or low resolution with rtx on . its demanding on some maps

Thanks for the suggestion Kvaki, I didn't test to see if it could connect to a Q2PRO based server and be playable. Got that working, but had to play in OpenGL because certain weapons are otherwise overridden by RTX models if RTX is enabled. For example a single pistol is the blaster, but akimbo pistols and knives are as they should be. Did you have the same issue?
