For now, if you'd like to invert your mouse:

Open the console, type “seta m_pitch -0.022”

Just use negative value

Thanks!
I don't like when devs forget to add invert mouse or don't care because maybe they miss the point that some of us do prefer to play like this

This option needs to be added into the menu as part of a patch.

It wasn't in the menu of the original game, either. You can change q2config.cfg to make it permanent.

You could get it in the menu of the original game as part of an unofficial fan patch. Surely it wouldn't be too much work for a AAA development studio with the backing of a major hardware provider behind it.

thank you. this should really be in the menu. I'm sure people inverted their mice in 1997 too.

Hah. My old roommate in college used to play Quake II with a trackball. I found it funny.

i used the official patch in the original DISC game and the inverted mouse option was in the controls menu. Same with Quake 1 and Quake 3. Never had to set it in the console. But glad someone posted this!

I thought that mouse inversion was the default setting in Quake 2. It's basically the game that started me out using an inverted mouse set up (and it makes so much more sense to me).

It was 100% in the menu in the original game. Pretty surprised they took it out.

Anyway, glad the command was put up here by a developer, as I wouldn't be able to play it otherwise.
