It's because companies don't wan't you to own your games like this. You could try running hex editors or programs intended to remove drm ( which I only recommend if you back up the exe files and know what your doing.)
Personally I got this on Epic games for free and got the game on discount on steam. I think there was a steam drm remover tool but, I forget what it's called.
If paying for a game isn't owning it, then pirating a game isn't stealing it.
