Can't remember the last time I laughed so hard while playing a video game.
Amazing vistas and soundtrack. Can't recommend enough if you like story driven games.

This game is unbelievably fun, I played it in two sittings and finished it in just under 17 hours. Every story-beat blew me away; everything from characters to locations to customisation to combat is vibrant, full of depth and absolutely glorious.

If you're an MCU fan, it takes some of the brightest, eye-catching pieces of that Universe and mixes it into it's own adaption of Guardians - colourful, musical, terrific combat, fantastically written, a brilliantly funny and joyous ride. Cannot recommend enough.

Criminally underrated idc about guardians of the galaxy buy this game made me watch all the movies. I feel music is underrated in games and they absolutely kill the feeling of scenes and the game with the music.

I feel like this game didn't get enough credit when it initially released and must go down as one of the most underrated games of the last 10 years (despite the positive reviews at launch). It's a properly good, story based, action RPG. It's a very linear game, at times feeling almost like a Guardians version of Uncharted with huge set pieces broken up by quieter moments but the story and the characters are what really pull you through. It has simple yet fun combat whereby you utilise each member of the team as 'abilities' akin to a typical action RPG. Must also say this has one of if not the best soundtracks to a game.

Sadly we'll likely never see a sequel but as a great, one-off Guardians story you really can't go wrong. Also in a time filled with massive, open world live service games it's nice to play something with a definitive beginning, middle and end that can be completed in about 25 hours.

It's like watching a Guardians of the Galaxy movie for 20 hours.
Which is to say, it's very linear story experience with some choices here and there that affects things & events and have benefits or consequences later but don't completely change the course of the story.
And it's a lot of chatter and jokes/bickering between the characters the whole game through the regular parts that would be "basic gameplay" in other games inbetween the real time cutscenes.

I did however experience several minor visual glitches, and on 2 or 3 occasions got stuck, but in all cases manually loading a save fixes it.
As with many story-focused games, it may be a bit lacking in replayability although it does have a New Game+ & chapter select after completing. So while it's up to each person what they consider worth a full game price in this time and age, It is a full, working game and I definetly recommend it whenever it's on sale.

At First glance you'd be forgiven to think this is another generic shooter. But surprisingly (especially for Guardian fans), you'll be treated to a great narrative driven experience.

I have to say, I was expecting much, as the gameplay really is as shallow as I had seen in trailers. But what makes this game is the characters, story and overall presentation. The voice acting is superb, the story is filled with plenty of fun and heart filled moments, all including one of the best soundtracks ever!

If you're a fan of Guardians in any capacity, this is a must. For the casual action adventure fan, there is plenty to enjoy about this game. Maybe wait for it on sale though, as the gameplay doesn’t offer too much of a challenge.

Recommended, but barely.
The core gameplay is not bad, but not as good as it could have been.
The rest of game is disappointing in many ways.
Annoying mini games, bad dialog and cheesy attempts at drama.
Humor is there, but misses the mark too often.

Absolutely broken and full of bugs. The game should have been renamed to Guardians of the Black Screen (GOBS)
