What is this blue icon that comes and goes in the top right corner of the screen.

It means that there are scraps nearby

Don't forget to use visor in remote locations where scrap are. Most likely there are also secret outfits. Just use the visor when scavenging scraps or while you traverse the map at all times. Visor around you, then advance to next location rinse and repeat. Don't get complecent in your scanning just because you unlocked the scrap automatic indicator.
