[RESOLVED] Low FPS no matter what setting?

Radeon HD 7970
Phenom 2 x6 1075t
8GB RAM
Win 7 x64

I don't get what the problem could be, I can run every other game like Alien Isolation at ultra with a constant 60FPS but no matter what setting I choose, low/med/high, I always seem to be stuck at about 24-25 FPS in this game.

Anyone else who has this problem or know a fix?

i tried deactivating the drivers and rolling back some updates but that didn't solve it. wHat did solve the issue was hooking up a monitor directly to the egpu hub via the pcie ports. running QHD with Ultra settings at arnd 70fps (expected performance -- should have had my setup this way from the get buut ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ thanks everyone for the help anyway!!

I had the lag as well - I deinstalled all nvidia related driver software programs via win10 remove programs in system settings - did the trick for me to get my AMD RX5700XT running max graphics in 2560x1440

Hello from 2021, I had a Radeon RX 470 crap out on me, wound up running a Nvidia GTX 550 TI until I could locate another RX 470 (theres a vid card shortage so hell of a time to need my flipping gameing fix) Anyhow, While control is back in business, my buddy Alan here was being difficult, and I'm like it the same type of card what the flipping hell? then I found and followed your post. DDU is a good tool to completely remove drivers and do clean gpu installs after.

but i doesnt help with broken nvidia drivers. i needed a clean install from whole windows to fix was nvidia forceware or nvidia inspector had broken (looked like a defect gpu in heaven benchmark)

i hope amd user dont have that much ♥♥♥♥ with they´re ryzen or radeons like i have with my intel and nvidia...this laptop is good but if software from devs dont work proberly you can´t do ♥♥♥♥ with it. even nvidia gibs and gobs in killing floor 2 makes problems for no reason. my friend and me have same laptop just different SSDs...my Laptop can display GIBS&GOPS and his will crash for no reason.

i woudl really like to smash nvidia something in they´re bulding they work in...just because they got so bad after 7 years later when i got another decent gaming build

Vsync is off, all setting turned down except for resolution which is sitting at 1920x1080. Changing that doesn't seem to change anything

that FPS rate sounds wrong. your RX 660 is 200% Performance of my 1660 TI 6 GB Mobile. Game should run 60+ at nvidia settings off and rest at ulra.

Doesnt looks weird to me in first place. have you tried playing with the settings? some will need an nvidia to work fine.

I have messed with the settings as much as I can. Raised them, lowered them, resolution, running as administrator. Even using windows to force it to use the GPU. No improvements at all :(

Did you use Display Driver Uninstaller to "uninstall all residual Nvidia drivers to the best of your ability"? Otherwise disable antialiasing and make sure you're not using supersampling in your driver settings.

Did you use Display Driver Uninstaller to "uninstall all residual Nvidia drivers to the best of your ability"? Otherwise disable antialiasing and make sure you're not using supersampling in your driver settings.

I don't know what "Display Driver Uninstaller" is I googled it and it pulls up a bunch of sketch websites. antialiasing and supersampling have been disabled since before my initial initial post to this thread

It's a program to remove all traces of (mainly GPU) drivers. Leftovers can be responsible for low performance in some games.
