Character doesn't move in correct direction.
I guess I can forgive this getting past QA and into release, but has there not been a patch to fix the fact that Wake walks in a direction slightly left of the direction the camera is aimed in?

Maybe if there was a crosshair to indicate which way I'd walk it'd be tolerable, but I have to eyeball it? Just running away from the "hitchhiker" at the beginning was an exercise in frustration; how is moving in combat supposed to work?

This sounds like your controller may have some slight drift my guy. I never encountered this issue either on the original game or on the remastered version.

I'm not using a controller. I've since searched the 'net and no one using a keyboard and mouse has been able to move in the correct direction. This has been a documented problem since release and it was completely ignored.

Here's a video from 2012 that shows just how bad this is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eLDfUvl1seM

fr, I thought I was goign crazy, but apparently that's how it's meant to be. I kept playing and eventually got used to it.

No it doesn't. The behavior I described is the same regardless of which side of the screen Alan is on.
