Last NVIDIA drivers seems to make the game crash

Hi there. Does anyone have the same bug? Since the installation of the last NVIDIA driver, my game experiments video glitches and sudden crashes. On my last 4 reports, only the last one was successful.
Can't play no more. The game crashes when I try to save it, so I am to continue at my last sucessful save, again and again. How frustrating.
Do I really have to stop playing and waiting for a game patch?

Game has been crashing a lot for a bunch of folks in the past week or so. Not sure exactly what the issue but drivers is as good a guess as any.

You could just rollback the driver if you think that causes it.

I dont think its a result of the driver update but I have been experiencing the same issues. textures not loading in, huge swaths of the map just black blobs, massive frame chugging, etc.

"...last..." is not enough information. Please state the specific driver version you are having issues with (you think).

In any case, you can roll back to a previous version and see if that helps.

i just updated the nvidia drivers yesterday i have no crashes starting a dark urge play through

I had alot of crashes in act2 for specific zone even though i was in it for a while, downclocking GPU helped me, crashes still happened but like one in 2-3 hours instead of 2-3 minutes.

I dont think majority of those crashes have anything to do with drivers or updates.

I have over 1000 hours in this game and it has never once crashed or locked up for me even during early access. I imagine it is people using mods or having weird setups that causes crashes. I have a plain vanilla set up so maybe that is why I have been fortunate. I haven’t had issues with the new driver so I think it might be something else.

There is INSANE amount of people with these crashes, surely not everyone has weird setups. Including absolutely any GPU from mid to high end.

I have no issues with any other game, including path of exile which is also kinda famous for beign messy.

I also played 150 hours without single issue, played 90% of act2 fine and just before the end i started crashing without any visible reason.

Same, no crashes and then suddenly it got real bad.

I've been looking everywhere for an answer but it seems to be hitting pcs on just about every end of the spectrum, from latest gen AMD/Nvidia pcs to janky old laptops.

Not modded, because most of these folks get real frustrated and do a ton of troubleshooting lol. Haven't found a fix yet apart from folks having problems with the Larian launcher a month ago but looks like that problem was fixed.

I haven't updated my drivers since the original driver BG3 and I've had no new issues. That's why I generally only update my drivers if it's been months or the drivers are for a new game I want.

Still running 536.99 from Aug 8.

I got a refund due to crashes (Nvidia). Strange thing is Witcher 3 now crashes and I’ve never had a problem with that game before. PC has quite a high spec. Such a shame.

NVidia version i am on 536.67 no problems here on crash dumps.

I still have 536.99, wich I had to rollback because the newest driver made the game crash a lot a have memory leaks. So until Nvidia itself fix that (wich they even stated that BG3 and other games are having di-optimized bugs with their drivers, they're working on to fix them) -

For those who have pop in textures or buildings not loading, maybe it's time for a cpu change :)

After the latest NVIDIA driver update, the game became unplayable to me. It didnt crash but it became extremely slow. Today I reinstalled the previous driver and all is back to normal, I can play again.
