dude
I don't disagree that outright killing her while she's locked in a cage is undeniably not a very good thing to do. But it's not like any trial is going to be at all "fair" either. Her execution is a foregone outcome, either way.
I am playing a paladin on my 2nd playthrough, and I actually struggled with what to do when it came to her. I mean, I obviously didn't let them just shoot her in the cage. Helping her escape obviously also comes with a lot of not-so-good ramifications, so I didn't do that. But leaving her there, she's not going to get a fair trial.
She should have been killed instead of captured on the battlefield, would have been much more neat and tidy from a morality standpoint.
Would have been nice to have a prisoner exchange offer, btw. Exchange her for the druid, for example. That would have been the cleanest solution to the whole situation for someone who wants to see good outcomes.
