Nope. If you want Minthara you have to side with her and the goblins which will make Karlach and Wyll leave.

Not anymore. Choices are supposed to have consequences, and she is diametrically opposite to those characters if you side with her.

Question is, is she worth losing those two in order to get? Or is she just strictly that evil playthrough companion?

Yes. What you need to do is this:

1. tell her about the goblin camp, then long rest.
2. go to the camp, and then betray her.
3. run away from combat.
4. go back into combat and you will have switch sides.
5. when you get to moonrise, you can recruit her. (and other party members wont be mad)

Not really unless you completely ignore the druid and goblin conflict without resolving it one way or the other. As far as I know, Minthara would be at Moonrise, but it is really buggy because it's not intended for you to do that. Also it would lock you out from doing Karlach's quests because Dammon would be dead.

If you use mods though there is a mod on Nexus that allows you to still recruit Minthara by siding with the Tieflings (and another flavour for using a ring to summon her in if you would prefer getting her early and romancing her at the Tiefling party, they're called Daughter of Lolth), so you'd get Halsin as well. Though there are some issues with it like Halsin and Minthara's tents will sometimes overlap at camp and if something goes wrong with the mod Halsin might spontaneously die as the game checks sometimes if both Halsin and Minthara are recruited and will kill Halsin as you aren't supposed to be able to have both of them. The dying issue could potentially be solved by just not inviting him into your party at the end of his story though, I dunno. Depends if you care about him haha.

The mod has all the info on the mod page if you were interested.

TLDR: No way without risking bugs and glitchiness, unless you download a mod and side with the Tieflings.

You can always not go at the final confrontation between the grove and the goblins. It will get resolved on its own. While this is an intended option and not just a byproduct of a fail state, I'd read that her dialog bugged out, so I ended up attacking the grove to be sure. That was a month ago though.

She is being mind-controlled and even expresses some regret later on. She is still evil, but not homicidal. There isn't any narrative reason not to be able to recruit her on a good playthrough.

You can have wyl/karlach and minthara by simply not resolving the grove but it seems to be buggy. I specifically caused the civil war in the grove (tiefling vs druid by stealing the idol without revealing korga) but ensured dammon, zevlor and Roland survived. After recruiting minthara I went back to act 1 to finish the forge and cresh. When you return to camp from the shadow lands she is in camp and should still be recruited but was immediately in an unexplained fight with Wyl at camp. I rolled back my progress and will ensure Wyl is in my party when I recruit her. I think the mechanism they added to shelve her when travelling back to act 1 doesn't work properly.

Overall it really seems like larian makes you sacrifice a lot of good characters and plot lines to redeem/recruit minthara which is very poor design. At a minimum it should open some new ones. If I'm right they have scripted out all the tiefling from later acts if you don't kill minthara. At a minimum you should be able to do the grove battle and choose to knock her out or something.

I don't think it's a poor design, we just think it's poor design because we want to recruit everyone without any consequences for it.
She goes completely against wyll and Karlach's beliefs, so it makes sense they'd want nothing to do with her.
Sometimes you have to make tough choices in an rpg.

Is there any way to get Potent Robes from the Teifling AND recruit Minthara?
OnlyOffensive Sep 14, 2023 @ 2:56pm
Its not a tough choice, if you intend to do evil only, karlach and wyll are most annoying companions to have around, constantly complaining about you and other companions. The only good use for them if you didnt go for drow is to sacrifice them to booooal.

Well Wyll at least sounds reasonable, Karlach is straight some anime crap

Baldur's Gate 3 really needs a "good person" option to get Minthara. It's just stupid that you are forced to chose between party members.

I would have loved it, if there is some kind of mini prison in your camp where you could just lock in Minthara and start fixing her. The moment she starts becoming a peaceful person, you could just let her out of this mini prison and continue fixing her while having her in your party. It would be just awesome if I could just use (the currently bugged) non lethal attack on Mintharah and get a selection option "imprison her in camp".

It's pretty sad that if you want Karlach in your party, you are forced to kill Minthara, no exception. Especially if you want to role play as a Paladin, it can seem pretty strange to have no middle ground of fixing her somehow without attacking the grove.

It's actually pretty strange how Sadowheart has two completely different progression paths that don't require you to abandon other party members, but the moment it's about Minthara, you can only chose between her or Karlach.

Did you build a cage for all the goblins and the bugbear too? The only reason you wouldn't see her as anything other than evil is having knowledge that she's a recruitable character
