Aren't there states where it's legal in the US?

good thing Larian is from Belgium. over here in europe we couldn't give a flying F what some degenerate neanderthal across the ocean has to say or do. Nor do we give a damn about your messed up laws and society.

Only four states in the US criminalize it and federally it is only regulated in the production of pornography involving it. Doesn't make it moral, ethical or acceptable at all, but that isn't the purpose of laws anyway. Beyond that, this is fantasy content about a druid using magic to get kinky - by request of his lover. In setting it is likely risque but not unheard of, in reality games, like comics, are generally classified as art unless designed directly for sexual stimulation/gratification (which this scene clearly IS NOT), so there really isn't any basis on this.

1) Its not porn, at best its a softcore suggestive scene where everything is implied and a fade to black. No genitals are even shown
2) Its compelling writing. This is a plausible kink in the bedroom for a shapeshifter and they respect player choice so much they let you go full bear.
It's very likely they never even saw it so they just assumed the worst.

I haven't seen it but what I've read sounds hilarious. Though, someone mentioned there were genitals before they went all furry fantasy.

I can't wait to see the expression on the squirrel, but it'll probably be someone else's playthrough. I'm all for absurdism, but I find romance arcs in games to be mostly a waste of time, getting in the way of the good stuff of the story. (Again, this is for me. If people wanna see polygonal pixel-banging, more power to them.) So, I really doubt I'll ever see it in my gameplay.

...but that's part of the beauty of it. Innit? I don't have to see what I don't want to see.

Maybe some of the people complaining are too embarrassed to admit that they will definitely go for the bear down protocol and want it stopped because they can't contain themselves. (There's a social custom where the fault is the presence of the temptation that doesn't seem to tempt most people. Weird, that.)

Actually at one point the US government DID try to ban virtual content like CP and bestiality in games and art, treating such content the same as the real deal. But the Supreme Court struck down the ban in a 7-2 ruling in their 2002 "Ashcroft v. Free Speech Coalition" ruling. Declaring that virtual depictions of such acts were protected "free speech" and could not be treated the same as the real stuff because no children or animals were being harmed to produce them.

That is why sites like LL can openly host bestiality mods to their hearts content for games like Skyrim, Fallout and the Sims (and also why other sites can openly display virtual Loli content).

With that being said. This is ONLY United States law, many nations such as the UK and Australia can and do prosecute individuals for such virtual content treating it the same as the real stuff.
Virtual *explicit* Loli content is illegal in the US.
US Federal law has a specific section of its obscenity laws to address this. Section 1466A deals with “Obscene visual representations of the sexual abuse of children.” It specifies that: “Drawings, cartoons, or paintings that appear to depict minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct are deemed obscene.”

That varies state by state. There is also the stipulation that it needs to be indistinguishable from a real person.

Most people calling for things dont even know what they are talking about . They just simply have a believe and think it applies in real life. Thats not how it works xD
Usually they saw a click bait headline.
I dont care about any of that stuff , i just want to play a good game and what are the chances of a scene like that happening again later in act 2 or 3

It's not an American game studio, so most of what you might do is ban the game in the US (Maybe? I guess, when speaking in hypotheticals? Don't really think your report will do anything really) Which will probably not make people from there happy with you. Besides, there's plenty of weird creepy explicit stuff on Steam that's just allowed to be there. From what I heard the 'bear scene' is not even explicit? (I haven't personally watched it, because I don't really want to)

So help me, if something happens to a game we bought 3 years in advance, because you people won't shut up about an optional bear ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ scene, we are going to be pissed.

Are you gonna report all the games where you can murder npc as well?
Because murder is a crime in pretty much any country.

Larian is a Polish studio. You'll have to report them in Poland. Also, please don't forget to report murder, as mentioned above, sexual exploitation, looting, war crimes, and an assortment of other offenses in video game fantasy worlds that religious faiths probably frown on. Maybe you should look for cozy games to play. They don't involve any of this, and this is a big world.
