stuck on loading lua

everytime i start the game its gets stuck on loading lua. when i click on the screen it crashs. i looked at the the loading boxs and wont go further than loading joypad settings

Try disabling the Steam Overlay.
Open the Steam client and navigate to the Steam > Settings/Preferences > In-game tab. Uncheck the box next to Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game.

Hm, try going to your game folder steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid
Run the game with ProjectZomboid64.bat

If that doesnt help either, could you share your console log?
Go to C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid
Open the console.txt
Copy everything from there to https://pastebin.com/
