Project Zomboid

Is there thief in the solo game ?
I found a barbecue and took it to my house/base, set it up and left it outside the house, went to sleep and when I woke up in the morning and went to do my things... the barbecue disappeared ?!?!

There are thieves in the game, did the zombies take it and decide to have a barbecue with someone ?

I think there are raiders. Or else it's Herobrine. Or possibly a bug with loot resetting? Did you create the world in 4.2.6, or earlier? Some people with older worlds are reporting their items are disappearing.
It's Jeff the barbecue hoarder

No, its Hank. Because Hank sells propane, and propane accessories.

Some of us have been losing items with each new patch of B42 Unstable. Other players have seen their population of farm animals change in number, sometimes losing an animal and a few apparently even gained an extra critter over an in-game night.

The disappearing generator event in the last patch is just the most notable.

Everyone who wants to attempt a long-duration campaign with an Unstable branch should have been backing-up their save since before the first patch so they can at least try to recover. It will *never* be a guaranteed recovery during these public-testing periods, that are all Unstable/IWBUMS versions of PZ, but backing-up the save is a good procedure to follow.

I'm playing on B 41
Zombies can damage/destroy any placeable that you move around, even when they normally couldn't.

Maybe a zombie wandered through and happened to bump into your barbeque and thumped it to death?
well theres a thought - buildings do get raided as time moves forward - i wonder if its nabbing ♥♥♥♥ outside?

THen, no. There are no thief NPCs in the game, as of B41 Stable. Are you running any mods, *any at all*?

this, blocks are indestructible up till you pick them up and place them down again, be it sofas lamps composters fridges or even barbeques
So why didn't the zombies destroy the 2 cars I have? One is only at 7 or 9% and the other is at 45% , because also they didn't destroy the bonfire ? It had to be the barbecue? Seriously! I wanted to grill some meat.
Zombies don't do their car humping animation unless you're inside. The fire place is just a sprite that can be walked through and has no collision like the BBQ.

A wandering zombie really didn't like the BBQ in his path and destroyed it.
Well, if the zombie destroyed my barbecue, why didn't the rest of it stay on the floor? As far as I know, any destroyed object leaves some kind of residue on the floor, and in this case there was nothing was left .

The zombie was probably hungry and needed more iron and hydrocarbons in its diet.
Owww just someone give this lady some meat already!
