Questions about animals

Do they die after a while if i dont find them or do they live their own lives?

there is food supply normally i think its low risk. for the first month. after that maybe cutting it close

In x months later scenario, domesticated animals spawn as dead, apparently. So I guess if you don't care them manually, that's how they'll end up

As far as i know they keep on living until they run out of food and water

doesn't for me if these are far, I guess the map chunk was unloaded.

They need food and water to live. If the designated location does not have any, they will try to escape and look for food and water on their own. If they cannot escape, then they will die. After a certain period of the game, you will find dead animals (those that were unable to escape) and several animals on the loose (those that were able to escape).

it seems that as long as chunk remains unloaded and animals are not "spawned" they will remain in healthy condition for at least first month or two not sure after that thou

They can be resurrected due bugs (found a trailer with a dead bull, unloaded and loaded, it became alive later).
