Now is it justified to use multi-hit?
Some vets out here like multi-hit is for P****s lol. But considering now the muscle strain system in place. Wouldn't this balance that now? Wouldn't multi-hit justify having this mechanic turned on?

Also lets talk about zombie collision. Why is it that zombies jump through a window one at a time. But 12 zombies can fit through a single door when I open it? This is another reason why I take multi-hit because how is that realistic or fair that 12 zombies can merge into a single ultra zombie and fit through a door?

It's your campaign. Play it how you want. I will not be using it.

You shouldn't care too much about what other people think if you play for yourself (singleplayer) and if you're playing on a server you have to accept the rules the server owner made up.
ALl these vet/noob/whatever comments just show a weakness of character and/or infantility.
You do you, boo. As they say. :)

Zombie Collision is weird, it's true.
But i think it looks neat if a door breaks down and a wave of zombies come in. :)
But, yeah, it's not fair.
If you want to take multi-hit, do so.
The moment you generate YOUR game world, you can do, whatever YOU want, it's really amazing.
Ignore everyone who wants to tell you how to do YOUR thing and you will be a lot happier with the game and life in general.

There is no need to justify using it to anyone for any reason, there are not even any achievements let alone any reason to abide by the rules laid down by elitists.
In fact, elitists' rules are the sweetest to break.

Even if you did abide them before, I would say that muscle strain does in fact justify disregarding the "rules" regarding multi-hit now.
Even still, Apocalypse is a setting a lot of people like to run (and a modified version of it is what CDDA runs) and multi-hit is disabled there so I imagine a lot of people will still swear by it, and having to operate with muscle strain in place on top of single hit will probably just breed further elitism.

If you could handle B41 combat apocalypse(no multi-hit), you can handle B42 apocalypse too. Muscle strain effects are pretty mild currently. Overall difficulty is about the same in the early game,

Since guns have multihit I've never really had a problem with melee multihit being a thing, especially since I primarily play a gun nut.
multi hit is ez mode u gotta play with a pencil or ur not good

The only vanilla gun in b41 that had multihit was the shotgun, same in b42 though the shottie is more realistic in that regard.

If you are used to firing once and killing a few zombies with a rifle or something that was because you had multihit on.

Hey, if that's how you wish to play, by all means, go ahead. Play the game how you want. I used to play with multihit for a good while, but I eventually stopped because I realized it probably isn't that realistic, and I have been trying to strive for more realism.

B41 shotguns were a meme, especially the sawn-offs. You could both target and hit an entire house with one shot from 3 tiles away, lol. I'm glad they're much more realistic now.

Yeah, and the funny thing is people thought THAT was better. It was definitely easier... but not very realistic to kill 3-5 zombies meters apart with a single shot.

I actually always play with multi hit for years and now since 42 been playing with it off. I like both and theyre both fun

Only weapons which should multihit against rotten zombies should be long blade and axe, and even then it should be max 2 if you get lucky, based on condition of your weapon. This could be totally new stat at weapons, CLEAVE.

Was going to disagree until I saw "if you get lucky".

I mean yeah it could theoretically happen, but you'd need to have a really good swing at a perfect angle to cleave through one body and into another. You'd need a good amount of skill and/or a lot of strength to do it in addition to luck. Sword in particular, you get the angle even a little wrong and your slicing power just disappears.

I've always taken Multihit after finding out about it.

It makes 0 sense that my Baseball bat (Or similar length weapon) couldn't hit more than 1 Zed at a time. Meanwhile they can mob-lock me with 2-3Zeds and the bite animation.

Should I get more fatigue per zombie hit? Sure.
Should I lose some DPS for Cleave? Sure.
But I don't think those caveats are in the game.

I forsee multihit getting a formal implementation into general game and not to be offered as an alternative combat option.

Really the farmers whip i think the whip class is gonna retcon multihit in the future.
