The noise all over all social media would never stop.
I don't think I would pay for pz 2 and quite frankly after being a customer for so many years I would feel pretty irritated and let down.
Being that customer for so many years has well paid off with all the free content and updates already no? And its not the easy route to have a engine more capable of doing what they want, its the smarter route. Doesn't need to be a whole new game.
I fully support them in their endeavors, after not before 1.0, I think would just be detrimental as far as community relations go. People would never let it go.
After The Indie Stone moves PZ to v1.0 and in a state that reasonably matches their roadmap.
I've been having fun with this game for several years. This is the best $15 for zombie apocalypse entertainment that I have ever spent and unlike a movie, each new scenario I start does not play out in same way.
And by the way another game I played exited early access before being complete, released a DLC, and then announced a sequel before the main story was finished and the main game still buggy, and of course people got mad. It's common sense.
I'm sure when PZ is done the devs will never want to think about another zombie for as long as they live.
I'm personally against PZ2, as there's no point to that. Engine change doesn't necessarily equate to better performance anyway. Vein is a proof of that. It runs like ♥♥♥♥ on my ancient laptop, while PZ is very smooth despite the stutters.
Let me just pop a new game with a new brand engine because whats the fking point of the same game in the same engine.
Better yet lets use one of the already engines on the market that way what makes this game valuable and popular/unique it's lost for the sake of ... something.
