B42 [BUG] White animal trailers "too heavy"
The white animal trailers are somehow bugged since .3
You are barely able to tow them despite them weighing something like 200kg empty
Towing them forwards on grass is nearly impossible with a normal car, and on the road you will stall as soon as the engine shifts into second gear

I just towed one (all red condition, pumped the tires to max) with three adult pigs onboard with a taxi (400hp nyala) and it was fine (35mph-ish on road). Make sure the tires of the trailer and your car are fully inflated and your car has sufficient horsepower.

See thats the problem. Before .3 it behaved like a normal vanilla trailer and you could easily drive 60 with any car. Now it behaves as if it weighs a whole ton more like any other car.

Something is wrong. It changed 100% and its bad. Tire pressure is ok it was a brand new trailer with everything 70-90% condition.

It is a bug 100%

a common occurence when towing. I really wish TIS would treat this absolutely irritating behaviour as a priority.

Trailer being heavy has been reported since the start of B42 and I experienced it too the first time, and in the end it was all about the tire pressure for me. I pumped the tires, and problem gone. If your "OK" does not mean "full", I still recommend trying to pump the tires.

If you're insisting it's a bug, try to find ways to replicate it. No towing changes in B42.3 as far as I know, so if it's something new to you there must be something different in your current towing setup compared to what you have previously.

I remember someone mentioned the tire type of the car matters. I checked my taxi, it has performance tires. What tire does your car have?
Probably related to your vehicle too? Even from the early unstable release, I never have problems towing any trailers. And I've been using step vans to pull them from the beginning.

Problem only happens on my side when I tow other cars. For some reason, sedans are harder to tow compared to pickup trucks. And no, I don't think their tires affect this.

Are you continuing an older 42.1 or .2 run? Because there it still worked after updating to .3
Problem is my save got bugged so much that I started fresh and now trailers are bad

True, I'm running an old converted save. I experienced the tire issue in 42.0, vehicle-vehicle towing. Still, I checked the patchlogs and there are no mention of towing-related changes in all patches so far.

You should try to find another trailer and see if the problem persists. Or try another car to tow it with.

Fresh game after 42.2.0. Even before that, trailers worked just fine for me. Again, I always use heavy duty vehicle to tow them. Mainly the box shaped stepvans.

Well I have new information, its not all trailers, its just the bigger white boxy one that seems bugged, the other horse trailer one is fine, tows a bit heavier but nowwhere near as bad or even impossible as the white one

You talking about the one I towed in my screenshot?

Did you check the tire pressure? One of my runs I had the towing problem. Aired the tires up and it rolled better.

100% this, was trying to tow a pretty good condition(everything above 80% condition except the window I broke to get into it) Franklin Valuline yesterday with my really good condition(everything above 90% condition) Dash Bulldriver, and it just wouldn't budge. I even turned on the engine in the Valuline to make sure it was in neutral instead of park, and still wouldn't budge. This was on a road road, not gravel, sand, dirt, or grass.

I got a feeling TIS doesn't quite understand how farm trucks work.

Edit: This was yesterday, fresh 42.3 save, not converted from an early build

It's been a few days now and the discussion is not moved to the bug report forum, and people with the problem avoided mentioning whether they pumped the tires to the max or not making me doubt whether they even have a tire pump.

So my guess is that this is intended behavior, encouraging people to find a tire pump for comfortable towing in B42. Just like how a rubber hose is now required to siphon gas.

People who doubt tire pressure having anything to do with towing problems should try reducing the tire pressure a bit and feel how heavy they become. And go find a tire pump, they're more common now in B42.

there 100% is an issue, and comments like this do not help the devs in the least. Not everyone pointing out bugs and balance issues is personally attacking the devs. These things need fixed.
