Can't uninstall engine

Can't uninstall engines for some reason.I have a wrench,mechanics LVL 10 and the key to vehicle.Am I missing something else like a book?

Egnines cannot be uninstalled:)
You can only make them into parts, to fix up other engines.

That is what I meant,sorry.
It won't let me take engine parts even though i meet all the criteria.High enough mechanics and a wrench.

No you don't need a book to get engine parts. Should only need mechanics level 4, a wrench and the engine condition to be at least 10%. If nothing is coming up, is the car you're working on modded in?

I have found some vehicles that do not allow right clicking the engines iirc. Or maybe clicking "take engine parts" did not do anything. Either way, some vehicles appear to be bugged in such a way to disallow removing engine parts. BTW, I have not checked if this bug is already known to the devs.

1. Make sure your wrench isn't in a backpack.
2. If right clicking the engine icon doesn't work, try right clicking in the list.

Maybe its a mod I have messing it up I dunno.
I'll try removing them and see if it does same thing.

Have wrench in regular inventory and take engine parts shows in red...I cant figure it out.Also it reads underneath it in red that it will take engine to 0 condition if removed.

Every other part uninstalls fine,just the take engine parts not working.Tried it on a bunch of different vehicles and it wont work on any of them.

Yep under 10% you cannot get any parts, and therefore removeable.

I uploaded a screenshot to my profile if anyone cares to look at it to see if im missing something...I started a new game and still cant take engine parts...Im thinking its a mod Im running thats messing it up??

Ive had this problem multiple times with cars, one way I've been able to fix it is by breaking into the car and unlocking the doors and the trunk, this seems to have fixed it for me

that's literally why you couldn't access it, the car has to be unlocked to remove the engine parts. :v
