Minimap doesn't work on server

Heya,
I hosted a server with the minimap setting disabled, but I'm looking to enable it now, but it won't work for some reason. I changed the allow minimap to enabled in the server's sandbox file and restarted it - Nada.
I went ingame and checked the options as admin and it looked as though minimap was still disabled, so I changed the setting again through the admin menu and restarted the server - Still nothing.
Holding M only shows the world map as an option.

Any ideas?

Go to C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid\Lua on your PC.
Open the layout.ini file
Edit the Minimap line and set visible=false to visible=true
Save and try loading the game again.
If that fails, try deleting the file instead.

I should have mentioned that I did check the layout file already. Minimap was set to visible=true already. I did try deleting the file like you suggested, still no luck. The weird thing is that when I log in as admin on the affected server and when I open the sandbox options, the allow minimap option is disabled again, as if the setting just won't stick - But the sandbox file is definitely correct.

Hm, are you able to enable the minimap in Singleplayer then? Do you have any mods on the server?

Yeh SP works fine. I have no mods altering/affecting the minimap (but plenty of others). I don't want to wipe the server just yet for the sake of the players, but I am wondering if that'll fix the minimap (ie. starting the server anew with the minimap already enabled).

Not sure, generally if you enable the minimap it should work regardless, even if its enabled later in the save. Are no players able to load the minimap? I would recommend starting a second test server to see if the minimap gets enabled there.

Update: It randomly just started working.
