CROWBAR OR AXE
Ive been thinking about it for some time, which is better? me personally I like crowbar for early game and mid game because it dosent damage clothing and you can get into survivor houses easier, but I like axe in endgame because it does more damage. what do you guys think?

crowbars last forever and weigh less but do less damage than axes. What weapon I take out depends on what I'm doing. Scouting/looting it's the crowbar. If I'm clearing an area it's the axe

Hunting knife

You physically can not run out of these as zombies will have them on them too often to break them all, cost next to no stamina and can kill in two hits with sufficient skill.

A 0 fitness 0 strength character should always be abusing the power of hunting knives, they dont have the strength to carry heavy things, they dont have the fitness to use anything but shortblades.

Assuming we're talking about vanilla, I would never actually start using axes against zombies unless I had six or more pristine-condition axes in storage back at base. Crowbars are more lightweight and less useful for construction and therefore much more expendable IMO.

Hunting knives by the dozen.

Spear, rifle, a handgun with silencer as backup, and a short blunt or short blade weapon as melee backup.
Plus some spares depending on how much my character can carry.

Crowbar all the way. At higher levels of long blunt you have a chance to one tap zombies.
On a side note, Liro is right, The hunting knife is a lowkey great weapon that doesn't need any balancing/tweaks. Great durability and damage and spawns very frequently on zombies.

Another benefit of crowbars in early game is that they level up maintenance quicker.

Same.

I must be very unlucky because I tend to rarely find axes in most of my runs. My axes are reserved for wood cutting.

baseball bat, i just like using them

I prefer the crowbar as I use the common sense mod so goes hand in hand to have that but the axe is fun too.

Axes are really good but spears for longer survived runs. Crowbar if you want to have fun using a crowbar. Sometimes I'll use a baseball bat for fun despite it obviously not being the best.
