Please go play one of those games and let the Project Zomboid developers do what they do.
A comment to "gamers":
if you have problems 'waiting' to the point of posting crap like this, then STOP BUYING EARLY ACCESS.
This is not a regular exemple. PZ is a prime exemple of what OP is talking about...This is borderline Star Citizen territory at this point
No I knew what I was investing in when I purchased this game back in 2014 and have since then about 3k hours in the game just trying new mods, new challenges, new sandbox settings. I would rather a game be done right than rushed like some other AAA games out there.
Games being easily accessible on steam make finding new games highly enjoyable, compared to the 90s, so I don't understand how people can get this frustrated over a game when there are other options available, if this game's development isnt at a pace that works for them.
Maybe take this as a learning experience and avoid early access games in the future, you can disable them in your store preference settings for steam.
Besides that this company does not give ETAS so when they say their build is going to release in 2024 , how is that not good enough lol. I often wonder if some people that complain about the speed are going to just blow through the update in like 2 days once it comes out and be like "thats it?!"
I bought minecraft around the same time. It has released.
I bought KSP 1 a little bit later. It is released and working on the second project.
Kenshi was in development, single man developing it. Released and working on the second.
It is not a question of investing into a game that bother most people on this specific game. It is the lack of delivery. A lot of other indie, or even single devs, just release. Manor Lord is single dev and delivers (for the time being)
Like I said, I love this game, I do! It is a gem and I understand the 'aim for perfection' but I wonder what is happening at Indie Stone for them to be comparable to Star Citizen. I literally have no other exemples....
To put it bluntly? I am in my 40s and I just don't think its that big of a deal? Life is way too short to get worked up over a game when there are far more important things in life to be doing. So if something irritates me or out of my control I remove it from the equation. I used to get kind of frustrated with Valheim's slow pace but dunno just kind of got over it?
To each their own though, I just don't think its healthy to fixate on negative things in life.
I can hold out a little longer. The game is still very fun as it is.
I totally understand this. I don't want to be whiny or anything, because at the end of the day, you are right on this specific point imo. But it is still okay to have an opinion on things you like, and development really is slow and that is a dislikable fact, but a fact nonetheless. Just wanted to point out that OP point is understandable. YOu do make a point though. I just moved on to other product, enjoyed them and got back to PZ for what it has to offer.
Just like anyone else though, I like to see programs I like develop into their better versions, and I just feel 'sad' (for a lack of a proper word) that it is unreasonable to think it'll see light of day someday. Anyhoop, kudos and have a great day pal :)
Yah its fine to give criticism im all open for that its just how some people go about giving it that kind of can be flustering to me, not you in particular, just you know the internet being the internet. Comes with the territory lol.
Take care you loverly person you, people like you are what make this community so great, the ability to have discussions without your typical internet turd ego wars haha
Some people stand out sometimes though ;)
