What's the use of the MSR700 and 800 ?

Slow bolt action, fire rate and the awful 3 round mag capacity I see that weapon barely used, heck I see the revolvers or double barrel get more use than those 2 rifles in general.

Sometimes people in Multiplayer have enough common sense not to loot them from the gun stores so it's the only gun left for the players who joined two days later

You can pick off groups of zombies without them even realizing it. Ever since guns were buffed, scoped rifles can be used from outside their noise radius.

Both can be used quite well from a rooftop, and have long range. Can kill more than one zombie if they line up, and despite small mag and long delay between shots you can kill a lot of zombies before they enter shotgun range.

Probably will see greater use when animals become a thing because one shot kill at long range vs unaware target.

I used it recently and yeah I saw the potential, just need me to get an 8x scope for it

I wish MSR700 had smaller noise radius than MSR788. It is not clear to me why they are equal currently in this regard.

MSR700 doesn't require a mag to work, which makes it a pretty decent weapon compared to the MSR788. I guess when animals and hunting gets implemented it will become more "popular" due to the .308 being better for taking down large animals. However, the M14 beats it easily here and will imo be the most useful rifle by then.

If you can find an M14 that is. The MSR788 is more common, though the M14 with its 20 round mag is very tasty.

tbh unless you play police officer with hunter trait, nothing is better than those guns. Aiming 2 or 3 won't be enough with those.

Use shotgun until you're out of shells. Move to rifles/handguns.

If you have a shotgun with shells, the MSR700 is no longer a question of "better than nothing"

They're deadly PvP weapons especially with 4x or 8x scopes.

Right, but if you have a shotgun with shells, and you use it, you won't have a shotgun with shells for too long.
