Really makes things spicy, especially when you get that sprinting tough smart zombie hunting you down in your bedroom.
Also, Horde Night is great too. You can customize how often it happens. What time of day it starts. How many come for you. How many more are added to the total the next time it happens. Gives you a good reason to make a defensible base.
If it still works, save our station was a fun objective mod that gets you to locate and repair the emergency broadcast system.
Expanded heli events also add a dozen new things that can happen after the vanilla heli event passes.
There is also an evac mission mod if you want to work towards an end game escape. I know over time most games just become cabbage patch simulator till you reset lol
Could try out with a RV life as well having your RV as your permanent home.
Theres some great map packs as well. Eerie County (mentioned above) is superbly designed and very large although its a little janky with how it connects to the rest of the original map. There are a ton of other really atmospheric map additions which you could consider as well.
For other stuff I really like "Bravens bicycles", "Sapphs cooking" and "evolving traits". Pedalling around on a bike is a great addition, especially when working cars/petrol are in short supply. More recipes are nice and add a lot of flavour to the game (pun intended). Evolving traits means that you will actually gain certain perks from using skills a lot.
Love the RV mod mentioned in the above post but fair warning - it does make things really easy as long as your vehicle is gassed up since you have a mobile base with permanent electricity.
Finally, the "fix tooltips lag" mod sorts out the lag problem you can sometimes get when trying to rip clothing etc. If you dont have this lag issue then obviously not relevant.
Have fun :)
I've just deleted all my mods to try and track down a conflict with literature spawning in solar battery banks and 'Mo crops seeds not spawning, but in my last run I had great fun with the mods: immersive barricade start, barricaded world, barricades hurt zombies and tripping zombies! Using traps to defend your base is also good fun (unless you fall in one yourself).
It is very convenient to have for more experienced players.
At the same time though: it helped me a lot when I was new to the game, and struggled to grasp treating my injuries. (Especially when I would be bleeding while zeds are chasing me)
