But does not really matter, because half a dozen zombies tear it down in like 6 seconds.
When it disabled - walls get attacked only when you actually triggered zombies with sound & in most cases it will be temporary. In that case walls are perfect from keeping zed away from your base (but you should build A LOT of walls so casual noise from your moves will not reach them).
Me: "Disable environmental attack and zeds won't attack your walls without reason."
They: "But .... But .... But ... "
Me: "But what?"
They: *silence*
How long and much meat and blood does it take for human flesh to destroy <tree> type walls?
Karate masters can chop through maybe 3-4 inches of solid wood block... but zombies aren't karate masters.
Perhaps their arm bones turned to ceramite?
I wish I could sit on my .ss while zeds thumping on the walls outside. And when I'm bored, I just grab my shotgun and shoot them all. They can't come in, no need to worry.
Oh... Wait. There is a sandbox setting to turn off all dmg on buildings.
Just tur it on.
Even with disabled Environmental Attacks zeds will attack your walls when they hearing you tending your crops. So to be safe you will need even MORE walls (=risks during building and gathering materials).
No, I don't think it's easy to build a safehouse even with those settings.
I was sarcastic, replying to CwG:
"I kinda wish mythbusters are still a thing...

CwG is the one who wants invincible walls, because it's "not realistic " if a zed can destroy a wall with bare hands. Agreed. Their hands would be smashed to pulp. Their bones would be broken to shards. But the game would be boring AF.
The game (unfortunately) have too many exploits to make 120% safe bases: floating house, car barricade (don't know if microwave barricade still works?), etc.
I'm just pointed to the fact: CwG can disable zombie damage on buildings in sandbox settings (not just the enviro attack), if he is looking for realistic walls in a "realistic" zombie apocalypse.
Not even mention exploits to make walls invulnerable :)
...That is not what I "want" at all, I've merely raised a question about the "feasibility" of such an action (destroying walls with human flesh) in a zombie apocalypse simulator.
It is very annoying there are people like you who takes an observation and assumes wrongfully. If I wanted to, the sandbox options are there to remove damaging player and og constructed buildings and walls. Doors and Windows are still weak spots in any constructed buildings, and I still expect zombies to smash through them in time; but the options aren't finely tuned to such details.
IMO (to a plausible solution), I think zombies should have an option to "stack" to breach walls. When a horde gathers outside a base wall, they should "stack" on top of each other to overcome the obstacle and get inside perimeter. People who have played 7D2D knows what i'm talking about (hence the 5 blocks/2 floors high walls with an overhang).
Or something akin to world war Z.

edit: added details about the action of destroying walls with human flesh.
Climbing zeds. The thing we need instead of zeds destroying our walls. Climbing zeds would be more realistic. Send your suggestion to the developers.
Sigh.
Full of constructive discussion with your pointless sarcasm I see. Have a good day sir.
