I wonder if we'll ever be able to engine swap cars

I'm not sure if it's possible, but even if it were restricted to car class (example - sport cars can only have other sport engines, etc.) i feel like it'd be neat to have if we could squeeze out either horsepower or maybe get a higher quality engine in a different car (since we can't paint in vanilla yet)

Isn't this the point of being able to remove engines? Or is the problem that it's limited to the one car model it fits and you want it to work in similar sized cars?

just noting it'd be cool to have this in the vanilla game eventually, kinda sucks when you have a car with bad engine quality and being unable to change it at all

I think you can replace the engine with the exact same one from another car but you'd need a sufficient mechanic skill, and maybe metal working too. You can find some crappy car and repeatedly take it apart, removing wheels and doors then putting them back on to level up the skill.
