How to see other players on the map?

I read that by creating a faction, you should be able to see friends on the map and that doesn't seem to be working. Anyone know how to make it work?

You have to enable the setting for it in the server settings:

# Controls display of remote players on the in-game map.\n1=Hidden 2=Friends 3=Everyone\nMinimum=1 Maximum=3 Default=1
MapRemotePlayerVisibility=2

That doesn't seem to be working. Is it a command or a setting before starting the server because I didn't see anything in the server settings.

Are you sure you are on the latest version? I copied that straight from the server settings in the current latest one.

I'm on version 41.77. Looked through all the setting again and there's nothing about seeing players on the map.

Did you try looking it up in the settings file instead? You can use CTRL+F as a search function for that exact text.

This Worked but you have to go to "THE" Server Settings: C:User/"Username"\Zomboid\Server\"Your Server Name"


Another Question can i see my own markers and other players on the minimap?

Not on the minimap, only on the big map as far as I am aware.
